Deetya sri

Deetya is the founder of Stringify, created from a genuine love of music and a deep belief in its power to help young students grow. She is a multiple-time winner of the Golden Classical Globe Award and has performed as a violinist in Vienna, Salzburg, Carnegie Hall, and Walt Disney Concert Hall. Just as important to her as performing is teaching, and she has spent years working with local children through her community.

Seeing school music programs cut—especially within HISD—was frustrating and personal, and it pushed her to take action rather than stay silent. Stringify was built to give students the encouragement, structure, and access she believes every child deserves. She leads the program with care, professionalism, and heart, always focused on helping students grow both musically and personally.

    MENTOR

    Her passion for music started at early age of 4, she had been singing Indian classical music for 10 years and playing violin for 5 years. She has competed and won several violin competitions such has UIL solo & ensemble, received superior rating at TSMEA solo and Nord Anglia Muscian of the year award and golden international awards. In addition to her Music interest, she has authored 3 books, spelling bee district champion, and presidential award recipient. She currently serves has Secretary of National Junior Honor Society and enjoys Speech and Debate at school.

    MENTOR

    She has been playing violin for almost 6 years, and it’s what she enjoys doing the most! At eight years old, she played at Houston Youth Symphony in the Debut orchestra. As she advanced, she decided to start playing in competitions. Her first competition was the Global Classical Music Award in 2024 where she won first place and got to play in Carnegie Hall. She received the superior rating in the 2023-2024 TPSMEA Solo and Ensemble competition and placed third in Nord Anglia’s global campus competition Musician of the Year. Most recently, she won second in the 19th century Charleston International Music Competition. Over the summer, she went to a fine arts camp for violin at Interlochen with a scholarship. Beyond music, she is also a big fan of K-pop! She loves the sciences, painting, writing, playing volleyball, and Speech and Debate
